FAQ
What should I wear?
Shorts and a t-shirt. This allows us to properly assess your posture and discuss any discomforts you have. Obviously feel free to pop extra clothes over the top, it’s important to keep your muscles warm, particularly after treatment.
What happens in the treatment?
If it is your first session with us we will go through a full history taking to understand any previous injuries and medical history. We will then discuss what has brought you to us before undertaking a postural assessment. Don’t worry none of this is scary and everything is completely confidential. You will then be asked to lay on the couch and we will begin the treatment. There are plenty of towels to keep you warm and covered up throughout. At the end of the session we will go through some stretches for you to work on at home prior to our next appointment.
Is it COVID secure?
Absolutely, we will be in full PPE and all of our equipment is fully cleaned and disinfected between clients. All clients are asked to confirm they have no symptoms for at least 7 days prior to their appointments and face masks are to be worn at all times unless lying face down on the couch.
How often should I have a sports massage?
This varies on the individual, many clients routinely book in for a maintenance massage every couple of weeks. Others only come to us when they are in discomfort or have picked up an injury. To keep you at the peak of health a maintenance massage is advised every 4-6 weeks dependent upon your level of activity.
I have some health conditions, can I still be treated?
If you have any concerns about existing health conditions then please do give us a call and we can talk through these. Every massage is tailored to the individual.
Can I get a massage whilst pregnant?
